How to Join

ACEC of Alaska is an association of more than 30 independent engineering firms engaged in all fields of practice in Alaska. Together with our national counterpart, we represent more than 5,000 firms comprised of greater than 500,000 design professionals. ACEC exists to advance the professional and economic interests of our members and clients.

ACEC strives to make your firm more successful and increase the visibility of the engineering profession. We value your support and participation to protect the interests of all design professionals. Now is the time to be involved, as we are seeing rapid changes in our profession.

ACEC promotes the professional aspects of engineering practice. We are actively involved in Qualification Based Selection. We regularly notify clients who bid A/E services that there are alternative means to securing professional services. In several situations, we have been successful in having the Owner modify selection criteria.

ACEC membership benefits include:

• Continuous representation of your legislative and regulatory interests in both the State legislature and in Washington, D.C. ACEC actively supports State lobbying efforts for our industry through the Alaska Professional Design Council. ACEC has a strong presence in Washington, D.C through the National office and ACEC/PAC.

• Retirement plans and group life, health and business insurance programs.

• Referral of your firm’s name to clients who check our web site or contact our office seeking expertise in your particular engineering specialties. Your firm’s data is listed in our website with a link to your company website.
